Feb 14, 2013 (newstodate): The winner of the tender for concession to manage and develop Russia's Perm Bolshoye Savino Airport will be announced on February 28, 2013.
Runners-up are the three Russian airport management conglomerates Basic Element, Renova and Novaport, sources say.
The tender was opened on February 1, binds had to be handed in by February 21 - and the final decision will thus be made within one week after that.
The winner will accept the obligation to build a new 20,000 sq m passenger terminal, to be commissioned by 2016, raising passenger volumes to two mio passengers annually, as well as boosting cargo capacity to handling of 7.5 mio tonnes of cargo by 2020.
The master plan for the airport has been developed by Lufthansa Consulting and Fraport AG Frankfurt Airport Services Worldwide after a tender in 2011.
The joint military-civil airport has one 3,200 m runway, and is served by airlines including Aeroflot, UTAir and Lufthansa, with CSA to launch services from Prague from March 31, 2013.
