Feb 26, 2013 (newstodate): A demanding challenge is facing the new Singapore Airlines Cargo Regional Manager Nordic & Baltic, Nete Kilting taking up the mantle from March 1, 2013.
A look at the January statistics from CASS shows that out of the four Nordic markets, only Sweden provides some consolation in the form of positive growth in volumes - up 41.6 percent, y-o-y, to 314 tonnes and a position as No 9 on the IATA list.
In the Danish market, SIA Cargo was rated #9 with 238 tonnes and down 17.2 percent, while it was rated as #8 in Norway with 297 tonnes, and down again by 36.2 percent, y-o-y.
Finally, in Finland the carrier fell out of the Top-10 list entirely with 57 tonnes of cargo, down 48.8 percent and ranking 11th in the market.
