Feb 05, 2013 (newstodate): Finnair may seek a future with a new ownership structure.
The carrier is today majority-owned by the Finnish state holding 55.8 percent of the shares, but the country's minister in charge of state ownership in companies including Finnair has reportedly indicated plans to nullify a clause binding the state to keep its majority owner position in the carrier.
Finnair is now also seeking a successor to the outgoing CEO, Mika Vehvilainen, and shareholders will vote on a new Chairman of the Board at the AGM in spring 2013.
