Feb 19, 2013 (newstodate): From the start of services in May 2013, the new handling company Sweport AB will be offering a full handling package for its customers.
-The company has been set up at Stockholm Arlanda Airport to provide self-handling for our owners, regional carriers NextJet and Hoga Kusten Flyg, and there are at this stage no plans for seeking external airline customers, says Arri Kallonen, Sweport AB managing director.
-But we will be providing a full passenger and ramp handling package for our customers that generate about 340 movements per week which comes third after only SAS and Norwegian at the airport.
-While we will thus not go after other airline customers, the critical mass will rather be attained through synergies from other activities together with NextJet and Hoga Kusten Flyg, and we will be employing around 30 staff from the start, says Mr Kallonen.
