Ryanair is building a 3,500 sq m facility in Kaunas airport for maintenance of its Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Construction of a first Ryanair hangar has already been completed, and construction of a second hangar is now being planned.
In Q3, 2013, the Lithuanian MRO provider FL Technics will open its new 8,000 sq m facility at Kaunas Airport, designed for maintenance of short and medium range aircraft as well as for long-range wide-body Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
The helicopter company Aviabaltika will also soon start building a hangar on the 19,000 sq.m. site leased for a period of 40 years.
Aviabaltika will build a 15,000 sq.m. hangar certified by international standards to provide repair and maintenance work for own and 3rd party rotary-wing aircraft.
