Feb 06, 2013 (newstodate): The enforcement of new air services agreement between Israel and Norway as well as Finland is opening up for new flights between these countries.
The Israeli ministry of transport has thus now granted Arkia Israel Airlines, Israel's second-largest airline, the permits to launch flights from Tel Avia to Oslo and Helsinki, respectively, after El Al has not utilized its earlier traffic rights on these routes.
According the agreement, each country can designate one carrier to operate flights between the countries.
In the fleet of Arkia Israel Airlines are now two Boeing 757-200, five ATR 72-500 and one Embraer 195, but orders have also been placed for delivery of four Airbus A321neo aircraft.
No launch date for flights on the routes has yet been announced.
