Feb 21, 2013 (newstodate): Iceland's Keflavik Airport is planning for a significant increase in traffic and airlines this summer - and more carriers are announcing new routes.
Latest carrier to announce flights to Iceland is the Spanish LCC Vueling Airlines that plans to launch flights between Barcelona and Keflavik starting from June 20, 2013, and operating twice-weekly rotations till September 17, 2013, with Airbus A320 aircraft.
Prior to that, known airline operators this summer at Keflavik Airport besides the national carrier Icelandair and the Icelandic LCC WOW Air are Air Berlin, Air Greenland, Austrian Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Lufthansa, easyJet, Edelweiss Air, Germanwings, Niki, Norwegian, Primera Air, SAS, Thomas Cook Airlines, and Transavia.
