Feb 18, 2013(newstodate): After only one year with the Airbus A319, the Faroe Islands' national carrier Atlantic Airways is preparing to take in its second aircraft of the type.
-We will take in the second A319 in June this year, says Magni Arge, Atlantic Airways' CEO.
The first A319 was received as an outright acquisition, while the carrier will take delivery of the second aircraft on a leasing contract.
The acquisition of the second aircraft is driven by significant contraccts with tour operators, but it will also allow the carrier to expand its seasonal services for the market as well as charter and ACMI contracts.
