Feb 11, 2013 (newstodate): In January 2013, Estonia's Tallinn Airport had a promising start to the new year as to cargo volumes.
A total of 1,604 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport, an increase by 19.6 percent, y-o-y.
Airfreight was 1,479 tonnes, up 20.3 percent, y-o-y, while mail volumes at 124 tonnes increased by 15.6 percent.
The growth at Tallinn Airport is significant also against the background that volumes in January 2012 were already up by 54.2 percent, y-o-y, indicating a sound recovery.
