Feb 11, 2013 (newstodate): New at Copenhagen Airport will be Emirates SkyCargo, planning for a weekly en-route call at the airport on the new flights between Dubai and Chicago.
The first call will be on March 3, 2013, with the Boeing 777F from Dubai to Chicago, followed by a second call on Mondays on the flight from Chicago back to Dubai.
-So far we have received no information on sales conditions in the Danish market for the new flight, says Jens Heide, Scanpartners that serves as the company's Nordic cargo GSSA.
-Chicago is a most attractive cargo destination that would certainly be attractive for us, but the freighter may be already fully booked from Dubai, leaving no or little excess capacity for us to sell. However, we have to await further clarification before any information can be provided, says Mr Heide.
The route to Chicago is a new opening for Emirates SkyCargo that will in any case need a technical stop, in this case utilizing existing traffic rights with Scandinavia.
