Feb 4, 2013 (newstodate): Time is working for Estonian Air - at least in one aspect: aircraft leases.
In the fleet now are one Boeing 737 and three SAAB 340 aircraft, all on leasing contracts.
The Boeing 737 has been grounded for a period already, waiting for the lease period to expire in June 2013 when it will be delivered back to the leasing company.
Also the leasing contract for the three SAAB 340 aircraft is due to expire in April 2013, relieving the carrier of at least part of its problems with the complex aircraft fleet structure.
In the fleet are now also three bombardier CRJ900 aircraft and four Embraer E-170 leased from Finnair.
