Feb 13, 2013 (newstodate): Sweden's Gothenburg Landvetter Airport saw a significant drop in flown air cargo volumes in 2012.
A total of 34,665 tonnes of flown cargo was handled at the airport - a decline by 20.6 percent, y-o-y.
International cargo was down 17.4 percent, y-o-y, to 34,204 tonnes, including 22,590 tonnes of export cargo, down 5.5 percent, and 11,614 tonnes of imports, declining 33.6 percent, y-o-y.
Effective from September 7, 2012, Gothenburg Landvetter Airport lost Asiana Cargo's twice-weekly Boeing 747-400F freighter coming in from Frankfurt to Oslo Gardermoen Airport for the onward flight to Incheon, South Korea.
In 2011, Gothenburg Landvetter Airport handled a total of 41,806 tonnes of flown air cargo against 47,705 tonnes in 2010 - a drop by 12.4 percent, y-o-y.
