Dec 03, 2013 (newstodate): While the row between Estonian Air and Air Lituanica continues over who owes what to whom - and why, air services at Lithuania's Vilnius Airport continue after the split.
Under the contracts, now abrogated, between the two airlines, Estonian Air operated flights for Air Lituanica to Berlin and Amsterdam. The carrier has announced that the Amsterdam-services will continue under its own designation, while the flights to Berlin are still being evaluated.
With only one aircraft left at their disposal, Air Lituanica continues its flight schedule for Prague, Munich, Brussels and Berlin - and after the Amsterdam flights have been taken over by Estonian Air, Air Lituanica has now announced instead the opening of flights on a new route between Vilnius and Paris CDG, starting from February 14, 2014.
Flights to Paris four times weekly will be operated from February 14 to April 27 with a 20-minute on-plane stop in Prague on three days and directly to Paris on Sundays.
As from 28 April 28, 2014, all flights will be direct, with no stop in Prague.
With the latest addition to its network, Air Lituanica will become the first carrier to operate direct flights between Vilnius and Paris.
