Dec 18, 2013 (newstodate): The British LCC easyJet is building up quite a presence in the Icelandic market.
From December 12, 2013, the carrier has launched flights on its latest new flights to Keflavik, on Iceland, from Bristol, now offering two weekly rotations.
EasyJet launched its first route to Iceland from Luton on March 26, 2012 with three flights per week, originally introduced as a seasonal service - but booking figures soon convinced the carrier to change this to a year-round service.
Flights from Manchester were added in February 2013 and Edinburgh in March, also as direct year-round services.
With the new route between Bristol Airport and Keflavik International serving the capital, Reykjavik, easyJet will offer a total of 10 weekly flights year-round to Iceland.
Adding the flights by Icelandair and WOW Air, the total volume of flights between Iceland and the UK is now 51 weekly rotations during the winter season.
