Dec 16, 2013 (newstodate): Turkish Airlines is already very active in the Nordic region - and more traffic may be added..
Industry sources claim that the carrier is planning to increase frequency on the triangular route to Denmark, Istanbul-Aalborg-Billund-Istanbul from summer 2014.
Since July 16, 2012, the route has been operated three times weekly with an Airbus A319 aircraft, but from next summer the carrier will add two more flights on the route and replace the Airbus A319 with the larger Boeing 737-800 aircraft, sources say.
It remains unclear if Turkish Airline will actually continue the triangular flight or change it into a direct route between Istanbul and Billund.
The information has not yet, however, been confirmed by Turkish Airlines.
