Dec 02, 2013 (newstodate): Russia's new carrier Aurora Airlines has taken delivery of a Boeing 737-500 aircraft from a Lithuanian aircraft leasing company.
Lithuania's AviaAM Leasing has placed the aircraft with Aurora Airlines under a five-year operational leasing agreement supporting Aurora's expanding activities in the Far East region of the Russian Federation.
Aurora Airlines has been set up by its parent company Aeroflot by amalgamating SAT Airlines and Vladivostok Avia.
In the fleet of Aurora Airlines are now 12 aircraft, including three three Airbus A319 Boeing 737 and four Bombardier Q200/Q300 aircraft.
By the end of 2014, the carrier's fleet is expected to comprise seven aircraft A319.
The airline plans to expand its fleet to 40 aircraft within the coming five years.
