Dec 05, 2013 (newstodate): The Croatian government's efforts to privatize Zagreb Airport are now finally signed and sealed.
From today, December 5, 2013, the airport is in the hands of the French-led consortium Zagreb Airport International Company consisting of Aeroports de Paris Management and the construction company Bouygues Batiment International
A further four members of the consortium are a Croatian construction company, the International Financial Corporation, a European investment fund and the Turkish airport operator TAV.
Winning the tender after a prolonged tender process with several hick-ups since its launch in 2011, the consortium is now taking over the management of the airport for 30 years and will start construction of a new passenger terminal and other construction projects to bolster the competitiveness of the airport in an effort to boost traffic.
