Nov 25, 2013 (newstodate): Two freight forwarding companies account for almost half of Sweden's IATA export cargo volumes during the last 12 months.
During this period, DHL Global Forwarding and Geodis Wilson jointly held 46.8 percent of the total IATA export sales with market shares at 25.5 and 21.3 percent, respectively.
DHL Global forwarding thus generated 26,117 tonnes of cargo while Geodis Wilson sold 21,778 tonnes during the period.
Both companies were, however down in volumes compared to last year, with drops by 11.7 and 0.4 percent, respectively.
#3 on the Top-10 list was Kuehne & Nagel, up 26.6 percent, y-o-y, to 9,537 tonnes, followed by Schenker with 6,851 tonnes and up 6.7 percent, and Panalpina, down 10.8 percent to 5,959 tonnes.
Growing the most during the period was Agility that increased by 50.1 percent to 3,756 tonnes, while UPS SCS Sweden dipped the most - down 12.7 percent to 2,019 tonnes.
In total, the IATA export freight volumes in Sweden rose 1.8 percent to 19,296 tonnes in November 2012-October 2013.
