Nov 14, 2013 (newstodate): Slovenia's Adria Airways and Air India have signed a code-share agreement.
Under the agreement, travelers from each carrier can fly seamlessly on each others routes, connecting at Frankfurt with Air India operating on the route Delhi-Frankfurt, and Adria Airways operating on the route Frankfurt-Ljubljana.
Air India's CMD, Rohit Nandan, however said at the signatory event that the carrier would fly into Slovenia within the next couple of years.
The Indian carrier also pins its hopes on Adria Airways to support the Indian hopes for obtaining membership of the Star Alliance.
In this winter's schedule, Adria Airways operates scheduled flights to 15 scheduled destinations from Ljubljana and two from Pristina with a fleet of 11 aircraft including three Airbus A320 Family aircraft.
