Nov 06, 2013 (newstodate): In January-September 2013, Russian carriers lifted a total of 730,011 tonnes of cargo, up only 1.6 percent, y-o-y, indicating a slow-down in the market.
The Top-5 Russian cargo carriers, however, increased their common volumes by 5.9 percent, y-o-y, which was also below levels earlier in 2013.
The Top-5 carrier thus generated a total of 558,458 tonnes of cargo during the period, now accounting for 76.5 percent of the total market against 73.4 percent in 2012.
#1 was AirBridgeCargo with 310,948 tonnes and up 17.5 percent, y-o-y, followed by Aeroflot with 132,215 tonnes and down 6.8 percent, Transaero with 47,655 tonnes and up 2.6 percent, Volga-Dnepr with 41,631 tonnes and down 12.9 percent, and finally S7 Sibir with 26,008 tonnes and down 2.8 percent, y-o-y.
