Nov 27, 2013 (newstodate): The Russian carrier Transaero has now firmed up its agreement with Airbus for the acquisition of four Airbus A380-800 aircraft.
The two parties first signed an MoU for the aircraft in October 2011, following up with completing the purchase agreement in June 2012 - and this process has now been finally sealed with the signatures to the firm order.
According to earlier information, two aircraft will be delivered in 2015, with the remaining two to follow in 2016.
The aircraft will be based at Moscow Domodedovo Airport as the first - and so far only - Airbus A380 in Russian registration.
