Nov 27, 2013 (newstodate): In January-October, 2013, Russia's top-5 cargo carriers together held 76.2 percent of the country's total airfreight volumes on Russian airlines, compared to 73.1 percent in 2012.
While keeping their dominating role in the industry, their joint share was, however, down from January-September 2013 when the share was 76.5 percent.
In total, the five carriers aggregated 622,950 tonnes - up 5.8 percent, y-o-y - out of the national total of 799.766 tonnes, down 2.2 percent, y-o-y.
The top-5 carriers are AirBridgeCargo with 346,668 tonnes, up 18.6 percent, y-o-y, followed by Aeroflot, 147,425 tonnes and down 7.7 percent, Transaero with 54,823 tonnes and up 3.5 percent, Volga-Dnepr with 44.664 tonnes and down 16.6 percent, and finally S7 Sibir with 29,369 tonnes and down 3.6 percent, y-o-y.
