Nov 01, 2013 (newstodate): Reflecting a cautious recovery in the Danish economy, Billund Airport reports a positive growth in cargo volumes in October 2013.
A total of 5,712 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport, an increase by 6.3 percent, y-o-y.
Both imports and exports were up in October, with imports growing three percent to 2,423 tonnes, and exports up nine percent to 3,289 tonnes.
During the first 10 months of this year, Billund Airport has seen its total volumes slightly up by 0.8 percent, y-o-y, to 53,063 tonnes including 23,531 tonnes of import cargo, still down 6.6 percent, and 29,532 tonnes of exports, up by 7.7 percent, y-o-y.
