Nov 08, 2013 (newstodate): The Russian Carrier Polet Airlines is increasing its attention towards the Baltic markets.
This month, the carrier launched flights on a new route between St Petersburg and Vilnius, in Lithuania, offering two weekly rotations, but already now plans are to add a third rotation from February 2014.
Polet will also add a new Baltic flight between Voronezh, an industrial center in southern Russia, and Riga in Latvia, which will be the first direct nonstop flight between the two destinations.
No date for launch of services on this route has yet been announced, but Polet has now obtained an interim approval for the air service by the Russian authorities.
