Nov 18, 2013 (newstodate): The Nordic airport handling group Aviator Group continues to strengthen its management group through new appointments.
Latest additions to the group's commercial team are Erik Strandgren, joining from November 13, 2013, and David Schubert joining from January 7, 2014.
So far no details have been provided on the new commercial team members' responsibilities, but their appointments are seemingly connected to the group's decision to add new business areas within aviation.
Among Aviator's recent new activities is the launch of cargo handling services, first at Stockholm Arlanda Airport from October 1, 2011 and later also at Oslo Gardermoen Airport from September 1, 2013.
At the same time, Aviator is amidst the process of merging all its four constituent companies under one unified brand name - Aviator.
Thus, Rros and Norport will be re-named Aviator later this year, while Nordic Aero and Novia will follow suit in 2014.
The Aviator Group was founded in December 2010, when Aviator purchased the Swedish company, Nordic Aero, and the two Norwegian companies, Rros Flyservice and Norport Ground Handling.
An Additional acquisition was made April 2011, when Aviator made an agreement with the Danish company Novia to purchase all shares of Novia and Sturup Handling.
