Nov 22 ,2013 (newstodate): The Latvian GSA provider, Sky High Agency is happy to see its airline client Belavia opening up one more new route in 2013.
Starting from December 19, 2013, the Belarus carrier will start flights on a new route between Minsk and Vilnius, in Lithuania, offering eight weekly rotations with CRJ200 aircraft.
-The cargo capacity on this type of aircraft is of course a limiting factor, but there is indeed a demand for this service and we expect a rather encouraging performance as the immediate response among Lithuanian forwarders has been very positive, says Agris Sedolins, Sky High managing director & owner.
-In Finland, Belavia is operating from Minsk since June 1, 2011, and in addition to the CRJ200 flights, we are operating a road feeder service allowing us to sell also larger shipments.
-Belavia is also online at Riga Airport, but here our volumes are more limited due to the competition from other operators with larger aircraft. Anyhow, volumes here have been stable in 2013, but lower than in 2012, says Mr Sedolins.
