Nov 28, 2013 (newstodate): Long rumored, Emirates may be planning for start of services on a new route to Oslo, Norway.
Industry sources claim that Emirates will launch flights between Dubai and Oslo from August 1, 2014, using Airbus A330-200 aircraft on daily rotations.
This is, however, still not confirmed by the carrier.
Emirates launched flights to Scandinavia with a route between Dubai and Copenhagen from August 1, 2011, starting out with a daily rotation using Airbus A330-200 aircraft, but replacing the Airbus aircraft with a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft from October 1, 2012.
Next, starting from September 4, 2013, the Gulf carrier introduced flights on its second Scandinavian route between Dubai and Stockholm, Sweden, offering daily rotations with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
