Nov 06, 2013 (newstodate): Starting from this winter's schedule, Finnair Cargo has again tuned its freighter offerings in the market.
New destination for the company's MD-11F freighter operations is Hanoi that was also served - starting from July 14, 2013 - with three weekly rotations by Finnair passenger aircraft during the summer season ending October 27, 2013.
With the introduction of the twice-weekly freighter service, Finnair Cargo is thus online between Hanoi and Helsinki all through the year as the only airline to offer direct connections between Europe and Vietnam.
In this winter's schedule, Finnair Cargo's other freighter services include two weekly rotations between Helsinki and Hong Kong, one weekly rotations to New York, and two weekly rotations between Helsinki and the carrier's second European cargo hub, Brussels.
Earlier, Finnair Cargo also operated MD-11F freighters to Shanghai, suspended from March 2012, Seoul, suspended from July 2012, Chicago, suspended after only two months of operation in May 2013, and Mumbai, starting from from September 16, 2011, but also now suspended.
First launched on May 12, 2010, Finnair's MD-11F freighter traffic is operated by the Helsinki-based capacity provider Nordic Global Airlines owned by Finnair Group, Neff Capital Management, Daken Capital Partners, and Ilmarinen Mutual Insurance Company.
