Nov 07, 2013 (newstodate): With effect from the start of this winter schedule, Finnair Cargo has added an additional frequency on its route between Helsinki and Brussels Zaventem Airport.
Adding to the existing MD-11F freighter flight, the new frequency operated with an Airbus A340-300 passenger aircraft will boost wide-body cargo capacity between the two cargo hubs by 40 percent.
Finnair Cargo opened its second European hub at Brussels Zaventem Airport on March 6, 2013, with cargo handling services provided by handled by Swissport International.
Trucking services between Brussels and the markets in Central Europe have been contracted to the Belgian air cargo trucking and logistics company E. Essers, while the Danish trucking company HCS A/S Transport & Spedition HCS is responsible for Finnair Cargo's entire air cargo trucking activities in and between all four Nordic markets as well as key North European markets including Germany, Holland, and Belgium.
