Nov 01, 2013 (newstodate): DHL Global Forwarding is now operating at new premises in a new terminal at Budapest Airport.
The new building will serve as a logistics center for both DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Freight.
DHL Global Forwarding started operations already in August 2013, while DHL Freight will move in by December.
Together, DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Freight will occupy a total of 17,000 sq m, of which 8,000 sq m are dedicated to warehouse operations.
Additionally, the new building, which will also serve as the new headquarter of DHL Global Forwarding and Freight Hungary, comprises 3,000 sq m for office facilities as well as 6,000 sq m of maneuvering area.
The two companies will be handling about 18,000 tonnes of airfreight and 16,200 TEUs of ocean freight shipments.
Also more than 50,000 of less than truckload shipments and more than 33,000 full truckload shipments will be handled annually.
