Nov 27, 2013 (newstodate): The carrier Danish Air Transport has put its two Bombardier Dash 8-100 aircraft up for sale.
The airline is currently in a process to cut its fleet of aircraft in an effort to focus on the fleet of 15 ATR aircraft, with two SAAB 340 aircraft at the lower capacity end, and one MD-83 at the top-end.
The two Dash 8-100 aircraft were purchased in 2011 when DAT made a bid for Norwegian state supported routes requiring STOL aircraft.
DAT, however, has made a strategic decision not to bid on the Norwegian PSO routes in the next tender in 2016, leaving the aircraft redundant.
DAT is to hand its MD-87 aircraft back to the lessor in December 2013, and plans are to divest also of earlier models of ATR aircraft in the fleet.
