Nov 15, 2013 (newstodate): The Danish CAA, Trafikstyrelsen confirms that it is currently handling an application concerning launch of commercial flights for Greenland Express.
According to Trafikstyrelsen, the Dutch carrier Denim Air has applied for traffic rights to operate between Greenland and Denmark.
Greenland Express will wet-lease a Denim Air Embraer 195 aircraft, thus operating on the basis of the Dutch carrier's AOC that is immediately valid in all EU countries.
According to Greenland Express' page on facebook - so far its only venue of communications, the project group promises to launch flight services from March 2014 - at the latest.
All details on routes, frequencies, rates and other issues are kept behind veils pending a new conference later this year.
