Oct 04, 2013 (newstodate): From MoU to firm orders: SAS has now firmed up its MoU in June 2013 with Airbus for new long-haul aircraft.
SAS will thus take delivery of its first of eight Airbus A350-900 XWB aircraft in 2018, and the carrier still holds options for a further six aircraft.
SAS has also confirmed its orders for four new Airbus A330-300 Enhanced aircraft, with deliveries to start in 2015 to gradually replace the seven Airbus A340-300 currently operated as their current leasing agreements expire.
