Oct 15, 2013 (newstodate): During one year spanning August 2012-September 2013, Sweden's IATA export cargo volume dropped 2.5 percent, y-o-y, to 100,885 tonnes.
The top-10 IATA carriers alone accounted for 77,283 tonnes, or 77 percent of this total volume, in most cases increasing their position.
Thus, SAS Cargo topped the list with 16,251 tonnes, a modest increase by 1.2 percent, achieving 16.1 percent in market share.
Second was Lufthansa Cargo with volumes up by 37.8 percent, y-o-y, to 12,174 tonnes and a market share at 12.1 percent.
Third came KLM Cargo with 9,576 tonnes, up 14.1 percent, and a share of the market at 9.5 percent.
Fourth was Emirates climbing up eight percent to 8,050 tonnes and three percent in market share, followed by Finnair, down 17.5 percent, y-o-y, to 7,422 tonnes and 7.4 percent of the market.
Sixth was Air China, down 3.5 percent to 6,232 tonnes, followed by Korean air Cargo with 4,657 tonnes and down 23.2 percent, Thai with 4,596 tonnes and down 19.5 percent, and Singapore Airlines Cargo with 4,425 tonne and up 13.2 percent, y-o-y.
Closing the top-10 list during the period was Qatar Airways with 3,901 tonnes and rising 31.9 percent.
