Oct 10, 2013 (newstodate): As the only Baltic capital airport to report a sustained decline in cargo volumes, Estonia's Tallinn Airport again saw its volumes down in September 2013.
A total of 2,313 tonnes of cargo was handled, a decline by 14.9 percent, y-o-y, while still being the largest volume in one month so far this year.
Volumes in January-September at Tallinn Airport 2013 are thus down by 10 percent to 15,030 tonnes.
By contrast, volumes in Latvia's Riga Airport were up 123.2 percent to 5,523 tonnes in September, and volumes through Lithuania's Vilnius Airport were up 78.6 percent to 847 tonnes.
During the first nine months of this year, Riga Airport has thus handled a total of 39,201 tonnes, while Vilnius has been handling 5,351 tonnes.
