Oct 01, 2013 (newstodate): Two European operators of the ill-fated Boeing 787 Dreamliner are now taking firm action as operational problems with the aircraft are piling up..
Norway's LCC has courageously based their entry into the long-haul market on two Boeing 787 aircraft, but after a sustained series of operational problems leading to delays and cancellations they have now taken Boeing to school, grounding its second Dreamliner and replacing it again with the lease of an Airbus A330-300.
Another dissatisfied operator of the Boeing 787 is the Polish carrier LOT that has now publicly threatened to sue Boeing if the company fails to fully settle the compensation claims over the deficient aircraft before the end of the year.
Norwegian has placed orders for a total of eight Boeing 787 aircraft, with two delivered, while LOT already has taken delivery of five out of eight aircraft ordered.
