Oct 16, 2013 (newstodate): Norway's Oslo Gardermoen Airport saw cargo volumes rising again in September 2013, albeit at a comparatively moderate level.
A total of 9,456 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport, an increase by 3.4 percent, y-o-y, which is much below increases in the preceding months by up to 40 percent.
In September the totals included 6,850 tonnes of international cargo, up 5.2 percent, and 2,606 tonnes of domestic cargo that was down 1.1 percent.
In the first nine months of this year the airport has thus handled 86,822 tonnes of cargo, which is 14.4 percent up on last year.
62,419 tonnes were international cargo that is rising by 15.9 percent, y-o-y, while domestic cargo at 24,403 tonnes was up only 7.2 percent.
