Oct 11, 2013 (newstodate): Armenia's air cargo volumes through the capital Yerevan Zvartnots Airport are down in 2013.
During the first nine months of this year, the airport handled 3,061 tonnes of import cargo, down 22.5 percent, y-o-y, as well as 4,545 tonnes of export cargo, which was down one percent.
In 2012, the airport generated 12,251 tonnes of cargo, an increase by 22.3 percent, y-o-y, including 5,564 tonnes of imports, up 5.5 percent, and 6,687 tonnes of exports, which was a substantive increase by 41 percent, y-o-y.
Passenger volumes were also down at the airport during the period, totaling 1.240.418 passengers, 2.6 percent less than in the same period in 2012.
