Jan 23, 2013 (newstodate): Only three IATA carrier managed to grow their export volumes in the Swedish airfreight market in December 2012.
While the total IATA export market was down by 19.1 percent, y-o-y, in December, #2 on the top-10 list Lufthansa Cargo saw volumes up by 1.8 percent, y-o-y, to 898 tonnes.
After a rather bleak performance in 2012, Singapore Airlines Cargo managed to grow by 24.4 percent, to 362 tonnes, securing a position as #8 on the list.
Finally, Qatar Airways, #10, saw volumes up by 41.5 percent, to a total of 305 tonnes.
Sharing in the general decline, Finnair suffered the most in December, with volumes down 44.3 percent to 468 tonnes - earning a ranking as #6.
Topping the list in December 2012 was SAS Cargo with 1,018 tonnes - but down 13.6 percent in volumes, compared to last year.
