Jan 03, 2013 (newstodate): Sweden provided the only positive development in cargo volumes for Singapore Airlines Cargo in the Nordic region in November 2012.
The company saw its volumes increasing by 34.1 percent, y-o-y, in Sweden that generated 426 tonnes of SIA cargo, corresponding to five percent of the market that was over-all down by 6.7 percent to 8,484 tonnes in November 2012.
The steepest drop by Singapore Airlines Cargo in the Nordic markets was seen in Norway where the company was down 48.8 percent, y-o-y, to 328 tonnes in a market that was otherwise up by 3.2 percent to a total of 7,991 tonnes.
In Denmark, where the carrier maintains its Nordic freighter hub, Singapore Airlines dropped 21.8 percent to 312 tonnes in a market that increased by two percent to 6,175 tonnes.
Finally in Finland, the carrier was down in volumes by 11 percent to 109 tonnes, while the market decreased by one percent to 3,327 tonnes in November 2012.
