Jan 30, 2013 (newstodate): The Polish carrier LOT is sharing the industry's plights with the Dreamliner problems, having replaced the Boeing 787 operations with Boeing 767 in the current schedule.
The grounding of the Dreamliner fleet, two Boeing 787 in the case of LOT, has forced the carrier to reschedule the plans for new Dreamliner openings on the long-haul network.
Thus, the planned first Boeing 787 operation from Warsaw to Chicago has been delayed till March 1, 2013, the inaugural flight to Toronto, originally slated for February 8, has been postponed till March 1, the inaugural flight to New York will be on March 3 instead of February 7, while the carrier still plans - and hopes - for March 3, 2013, as the launch date of Dreamliner flights to Beijing.
In the fleet of LOT are now two grounded Boeing 787 Dreamliner, with a third delivery scheduled for H1, 2013.
