Jan 18, 2013 (newstodate): Ukraine may soon see the launch of another new airline, Aviadnepr.
Although the fledgling carrier has still not received its AOC, it will reportedly have its HQ at Dnepropetrovsk Airport and may provide both charter flights, scheduled flights and air cargo operations.
The planned airline will strive to fill the void left by the carrier Dniproavia that has filed for bankruptcy in line with the other members of Igor Kolomoyskyi's Ukrainian Aviation Group also comprising Aerosvit and Donbassaero.
Heading the new airline will reportedly be Sergei Tkachenko who served as Dniproavia's chairman of the board - which has raised fears that Aviadnepr will also turn out to be a business venture by Mr Kolomoyskyi.
