Jan 22, 2013 (newstodate): Montenegro is to make a renewed effort to sell a stake in its national carrier Montenegro Airlines in 2013.
Along with other state assets, a tender for sale of shares in Montenegro Airlines will be opened later this year in the hope for a better response than achieved in previous attempts.
The latest tender for sale of 30 percent of the stake was opened in September 2010, but as the deadline was passed on December 15, 2010, no bids had been received.
Earlier efforts, including another tender in 2007, also proved in vain.
Based at Podgorica, Montenegro Airlines operates a fleet comprising five Fokker 100 and three Embraer aircraft.
