Jan 22, 2013 (newstodate): Finland will reportedly see the launch of a new charter carrier from next summer, to be named Snowbird Airlines.
The founders behind the new airline project include former Finnair executives and staff from Air Finland that went bust in June 2012, and plans are to start out with one Airbus A320 aircraft, increasing to three aircraft by 2016.
The business plans include charter and ACMI operations, with ambitions for opening up own routes at a later stage.
Beyond this scarce information, no details are yet available on management positions, aircraft acquisitions and AOC application status.
As a first proof of existence, the carrier has now launched an internet template.
