Jan 29, 2013 (newstodate): The Lithuanian ground handling provider, Baltic Ground Services, is breaking new grounds in the Italian market.
With airBerlin as its launch customer, BGS has started handling services at Calabria's Lamezia Terme International Airport, in the southern part of Italy.
Since the start of January 2013, BGS is now handling airBerlin's Airbus A320 flights to Lamezia Terme International Airport from Zurich Airport, Berlin Tegel Airport, Munich Airport, Leipzig/Halle Airport, Frankfurt Airport and Dusseldorf International Airport.
The Italian debut marks the company's first expansion beyond the Baltic and Polish markets where BGS is now servicing airlines at Vilnius and Palanga in Lithuania as well as at the six largest airports in Poland - Warsaw, Wroclaw, Krakow, Gdansk, Poznan and Katowice.
