Jan 24, 2013 (newstodate): Despite the location of its Nordic hub at Copenhagen Airport, Singapore Airlines Cargo did not make it to the top-10 list among IATA carriers in December 2012.
Placed #11 as to IATA exports from the Danish market, the carrier generated a total of 197 tonnes of cargo, dipping 41.7 percent, y-o-y.
Topping the list was SAS Cargo with 846 tonnes and increasing 13.9 percent, y-o-y, in a market that was down by 14.7 percent in December.
#2 was KLM Cargo with 498 tonnes and down 29.2 percent, followed by Emirates, up 11.5 percent to 452 tonnes, Qatar Airways with 394 tonnes and up 8.6 percent, and as #5 Korean Air Lines Cargo with 364 tonnes but down 25.5 percent, y-o-y.
#7, Thai Airways Cargo saw the steepest decline in December 2012 with 294 tonnes but down 43.6 percent, and Lufthansa Cargo was also down 42 percent to 304 tonnes.
The total IATA export aircraft market in Denmark landed at 5,047 tonnes.
