Jan 10, 2013 (newstodate): Austria and Armenia are working towards landing a new air services agreement.
A new agreement would pave the road for liberalized air transportation services, open up for free competition and cooperation in the air, and regulate rights and liabilities for airlines of the two countries.
The negotiations come at a time when the issue of Armavia's status as Armenia's national carrier is at stake after decisions to sell the stakes in the airline that is experiencing severe financial problems.
