Sep 18, 2012 (newstodate): Scarcity of long-haul aircraft capacity is forcing SAS to re-think its seasonal planning of the intercontinental flight services.
As a result, SAS is to suspend services on its long-standing route between Copenhagen and Bangkok during the summer season, directing the Airbus A340-300 aircraft capacity instead to its coming new long-haul route between Copenhagen and San Francisco, as well as increasing frequencies on the route between Copenhagen and New York.
So far, SAS will reinstate the service to Bangkok again from the 2013/14 winter schedule by the end of October 2013.
In the fleet of SAS are seven Airbus A340-300 and four Airbus A330-300 aircraft serving the intercontinental route network.
