A total of 8,156 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport, an increase by 3.3 percent, y-o-y - the second-lowest growth figure in 2012 after April when volumes actually decreased by 3.5 percent, y-o-y.
In August the airport handled 5,522 tonnes of international cargo, up 4.2 percent, and 2,635 tonnes of domestic cargo, up 1.5 percent, y-o-y.
During January-August 2012 the airport has thus generated a total of 66,753 tonnes of cargo, up 8.2 percent on 2011.
From September 7, 2012, Asiana has moved its two weekly Boeing 747-400F operations to Oslo Gardermoen Airport on the return leg of the route from Frankfurt to Incheon, South Korea, earlier located at Sweden's Gothenburg Landvetter Airport.
