Sep 28, 2012 (newstodate): Norway retained its position as the most potent Nordic export airfreight market in August 2012.
Thus, Norwegian export airfreight on IATA carriers was again up by 15.4 percent, y-o-y, to 8,887 tonnes, by far securing also a position as the single largest IATA export airfreight marked in the Nordic region.
Fed by Norway's insatiable demand for uplift of its seafood exports, Finnair Cargo topped the IATA CASS Top-10 list with 1,763 tonnes, up 62.9 percent, y-o-y.
#2 came Korean air Lines with 1,012 tonnes, down 6.7 percent, followed by Qatar Airways, 906 tonnes and up 14.3 percent, and KLM Cargo with 871 tonnes, up 5.2 percent.
Emirates was ranked #5 with 833 tonnes, up 237.5 percent, followed by Lufthansa Cargo with 653 tonnes, 29 percent, and SAS Cargo with 579 tonnes and down 7.1 percent.
